I love to learn! Continually seeking to understand those around me and my world is something I have been passionate about. Research, reading and building relationships with experts in the field of leadership and education has provided continuous growth within my personal and professional life.
My love of learning began at an early age. I would often be found laying on the floor of my grandparent's home, deeply buried in their shag rug engrossed in their hardbound encyclopedias. My grandmother inspired me with her mantra "no one can ever take your education and knowledge away." As a child, playing school and reading long into the night, I dreamed of cultivating a love of learning in those around me. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing my daughter follow in these footsteps.

I aspire to foster environments that cultivate highly functioning teams. I believe that the creation of resilient learning communities increases student progress, efficacy, agency, teacher professional practice, and collaboration between and among teams.

Focusing on the development of highly functioning teams fosters a shared responsibility in challenging and encouraging each other to go deeper in seeking to understand the needs of all learners-including the adult learners who are working together for their academic communities.
